Suitability by Society Matters is dedicated to helping unemployed men prepare for job interviews by providing them with professional attire and coaching.
Inspired by the impactful work of Smart Works Newcastle for women, we aim to offer similar support for men.

We work hard to ensure high quality items reach those who can use them to succeed
We invite you to contribute your new, high-quality, unused/slightly worn, clean clothing to help us empower men in their job search. A single, well-chosen item can make a significant difference, boosting confidence and improving prospects.
Your donations will directly support our mission to change lives and create opportunities. We are working hard to do our bit for the earth, as well as reusing clothing we do not support fast throwaway fashion.

We cannot accept:
- Damaged items
- Children’s wear
- Underwear
- Running shoes
- Unlaundered clothing
- Shoes requiring repair
- Clothing without labels
Donation Guidelines
To ensure dignity and quality for the people we support, we kindly ask that all donated items are:
- Clean and freshly laundered
- In good condition (no stains, tears, or excessive wear)
- Appropriate for work or interview settings
Why it matters
For many of the people we support, the right clothing is more than an outfit – it’s confidence, opportunity, and a fresh start. Your generosity helps remove one more barrier to employment and independence.
