Carers and Caring Matters Online Training
Carers and Caring Matters Training
There are an estimated 6 million carers in the UK as of January 2021 and 2.3 million additional people on average become carers every year. Life as a carer can prove stressful, juggling employment with caring responsibilities, navigating the difficulties of the complex welfare benefit system, and maintaining financial stability. Without access to the right support and information this can take a toll on the carer’s quality of life, critically, their finances and mental health, both of which can have a major impact on their capacity as a carer.
Who should attend?
This half day training course is delivered through a highly interactive online session, and is particularly geared to welfare professionals working in the community and voluntary sectors, local authorities, social workers, housing associations, work coaches and general welfare advisers who are supporting carers and people receiving support from a carer and want to build their knowledge and confidence about the support available.
