Get to Grips with Workplace Equality

A workshop for socially responsible employers

Get to Grips with Workplace Equality

The Equality Act 2010 is a fundamental cornerstone of modern life in the UK, changing the way that people are protected as consumers, as citizens and as employees. Making sure you have an informed understanding of the implications of the Equality Act and  the latest changes and case law can help you to create a harmonious workplace and reduce the stress and pain of unintentional or unnoticed discrimination.

Who should attend this course?

The Get to Grips with Workplace Equality workshop, which is delivered in a virtual classroom environment, is designed to help HR Managers, business owners and Directors who may already be tackling unequal practices in their workplace, or who need to build their confidence through an improved understanding of workplace equality.

The workshop is designed for anyone who has responsibility for ensuring that their workplace is a truly equal environment.

As well as leaving the workshop properly informed, you will also receive a free employer checklist to work through in your own business to identify any areas for change that you can put into practice right now.

What will you learn?

Through a combination of case studies, exercises, quizzes and insights from our welfare benefits ‘expert in the room’, you will be helped to make your mark on workplace equality.

Going beyond a re-examination of protected characteristics, during the 2.5 hour session our discrimination expert will discuss the surprisingly common day-to-day practices that can result in issues, as well as recent developments and best practice. With years of real life case studies to draw upon, you can explore the changes needed to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and equally.

“It really is time to put workplace equality back in the spotlight so employers have a real and thorough understanding of what equality means in practice in 2020. I never cease to be amazed at the discriminating practices that exist in some organisations, and much of the time these are unintentional, which makes this workshop a must for anyone who has even the slightest doubt.”
